This May, we are celebrating the first anniversary of our website. Our communications have had a major makeover. It’s springier and more playful now, and while we support causes that are often sensitive or even painful, I believe it’s important to do so using today’s tools. Yes, a fresh new coat of paint on our colours, our graphic charter, the creation of a LinkedIn page and now this dashing newsletter — that’s how we intend to get the message of solidarity, listening and generosity out there! 

Of course, we are happy and proud to write and compose the words and notes of our peers’ emotions. Yes, our pens and keyboards vibrate with our doubts and passion, but we don’t live in ivory towers, and we are aware of the difficulties that so many of us face, sometimes, alas, on a long-term basis. So now more than ever it’s vital to communicate, and our new look, if it generates new likes, new donations and many posts (don’t hesitate to relay our posts!), will certainly have been worthwhile. 

So, if you’re already a member of our wonderful charity, keep on spreading the word, and if you have not yet join us: you’ll love becoming a member. There’s always so much to do! That’s why we’ve made the decision to change, not just for the sake of it, but to better exchange ideas, outside conventional norms, with all the creative people of goodwill who know that we are never better ourselves than when we think of others. 

If the Comité du cœur’s long history is written in today’s terms, it will be clearer and more enduring. We have just been through a health crisis lasting almost three years that has affected many of our colleagues. Our association has been at the forefront of this storm and has helped a large number of members to survive. More difficult times lie ahead, and we will be equally present, but we need your help. 

Be aware, spread the word and let’s continue to ‘spring’ our communications: the heart has its reasons, but it has no seasons!
